Shutters are solid panels that swing open and closed on a hinge and catch onto the frame with magnets for a tight secure closure.




The slats can be pushed up and down with a tilt rod, or you can even opt for a hidden tilt rod for a more streamlined look with nothing to grab onto. Slats are still fully operable with a hidden tilt rod by pushing up or down by hand, and slat tension is easily adjustable.

You can add a mid-rail to your full height shutters to allow you separate control of the upper and lower slats. This is perfect if you’d like to maintain visibility and sunlight through part of your window while keeping part closed for privacy.

Tier on tier style features split panels so you can have separate control not only of the slats, but also of swinging the panels open and closed independently on each tier.





Or opt for café style shutters, which cover only the lower half of the window, keeping the top completely open for maximum light entry while still offering the style and privacy of shutters on the lower portion of the window.

Blocking your furry friends’ view of the outdoors can cut down on barking and excitement caused by activity outside the home. Shutters also reduce outdoor noise when fully closed.

Should your pet get excited and make a lunge for your shutters, rest assured they are comprised of 100% solid materials and much more durable than blinds or curtains.

Polyvinyl shutters are very tough to scratch or dent. And while wood is softer than polyvinyl, wood can be easily sanded to a smooth finish and touched up with the matching touchup paint included in your shutters’ hardware kit.





Shutters are easier to clean and don’t collect as much dust as blinds or curtains do. In fact, they even reduce dust, allergens, and pet dander in the home.

Many of our customers have customized their shutters so that they can keep a portion open for their pets who love to cozy up on a window sill, or to allow access to a doggy door.

While we have heard stories of a naughty pet or two that have damaged some of the slats on a shutter, the good news is that each slat can be individually replaced using spring-loaded pins for a 5-minute-or-less fix.
