How much are wooden shutters vs other materials?
Another factor that influences the cost of shutters is the materials you want your shutters to be crafted from. There are two main choices of material, wooden shutters or faux wood shutters.
Wooden shutters (or hardwood shutters) are made from the finest quality Paulownia wood and therefore come with a higher cost than other materials such as faux wood.
However, our American Wood shutters (available in full height shutter style only) crafted from solid Poplar hardwood in our North American facility can be bought cheaper because they are ready to ship in around three weeks.
Faux wood shutters are a perfect option if you want a cheaper alternative to wooden shutters. These shutters have the same classic aesthetic as hardwood shutters, but also have waterproof properties too.
Our American Wood Core shutters version are made in North America and engineered with wooden cores within the stiles and rails for added stability. They can be shipped to you in as soon as one to two weeks.
