Plantation shutters are an amazing investment in upgrading your home. Providing beauty, along with superior privacy and light blockage, shutters are a coveted window treatment. We know that aside from value, style, and function, another important factor in your home projects is timing.
The manufacturing lead times stated on our website are always updated to be an accurate reflection of the current expected production time (not including transit). Because we believe in transparency and keeping our valued customers informed, we are sharing this update regarding delivery times for our shutters.
American-made Shutters
Our American Polyvinyl and American Hardwood ranges are manufactured in California. The manufacturing times are stated on our website and once manufacturing is complete, your order will ship directly from the California facility to your home. Transit time will vary depending upon your location within the continental US.
Please note, domestic shipping carriers are facing an overwhelming volume of shipments and lack the workforce necessary to keep up with demand at times resulting in shipping delays and longer than normal transit times.
Shutters Manufactured Overseas
Our Affordable Fauxwood and Classic Poplar Hardwood ranges are manufactured overseas. The manufacturing times on our website including production time + transportation from the factory overseas to our ports in Long Beach, CA. The lead times stated on our website do not include transit from the California warehouse to your home. Transit time will vary depending upon your location within the continental US.
Normally once a shipment reaches our ports, it is unloaded from the shipping container and immediately shipped out direct to your home. However, given the unprecedented shipping volume, there are delays at the ports, affecting businesses globally.
When shipping containers arrive to the port, they are in a queue, and we must await our turn and be given clearance to access the port to retrieve and unload the shipping container. At times, this means your order will arrive well ahead of our estimated production time but may not be able to be unloaded and shipped to you for another week or two.
While our competitors are also facing these delays, we strive to stand out by keeping our customers updated every step of the way and making things right when any unexpected delays occur.
As soon as we receive clearance to access the shipping containers, we are working diligently to unload and prepare shipments as quickly as possible and get them scheduled for pickup with FedEx or an available freight carrier depending upon the size of your order.
As mentioned, domestic shipping carriers are also facing delays which may delay pickup of orders from our warehouse and may also result in longer than normal transit times.
Can I Still Get Shutters in Time for Christmas?
As we are approaching the holiday season, we frequently get asked about orders reaching you in time for the holidays. Each year we normally post cut-off dates for guaranteed holiday delivery. However, given the above-detailed extreme circumstances, we will not be posting cut-off dates this year.
As we expect the holiday rush to further impact shipping times, we cannot provide any guaranteed delivery dates, as transit times are completely out of our hands.
If you need your shutters delivered by a specific date or deadline, our best recommendation is to refer to our
shipping information page for our current manufacturing lead times. If time is of the essence, we highly suggest placing your order now / as soon as possible to allow ample time to account for any unforeseen shipping delays.
We are always here to help and will continue to provide updates with the most current information available to us. If you've got any questions regarding your delivery, or any questions about shutters,
