 Q: I’d like to place an order for shutters. Can I still do this?

Of course! We’re open for business as usual. Right now is the time to make the most of your time indoors and tackle your DIY list!
 

Q: Where are the shutters made?

Our shutters are custom made in state-of-the-art facilities in China and California, depending on the range you select. We are in constant communication with our factory and government officials to ensure we are following all guidelines for your safety and ours.
 

Q: Can I still get in touch with The Shutter Store team?

Most definitely! Our shutter experts are working from home to ensure everyone’s safety. You can reach us via email, live chat or by simply giving us a call.
We are still on hand to advise you on every aspect of your shutter order; from design, technical questions and tips on installation.
 

Q: Are your lead times much longer now?

The lead times we advertise on our website are a correct reflection of current manufacturing lead times. If in doubt, simply give us a call.
 

Q: Will someone visit my house to measure for shutters?

That’s the best bit! We are purely a DIY company, this means you measure and install the shutters yourself. There’s no surveyors or consultants involved. All the help you need is one email/chat/phone call away.
 

Q: I have already placed an order for shutters. When will they arrive?

All orders are due to ship within the lead times quoted to you during your confirmation call with your shutter expert. Keep in mind our lead times are manufacturing lead times only, they do not account for transit time from our facility to your doorstep.
 

Q: Is it safe to receive the shutters and their boxes from the couriers? Can I catch anything from the packaging?

Every single one of our Team members follow strict guidelines as set by government officials. Your safety and ours is a number 1 priority. Delivery couriers are also keeping in line with government advice on safe handling and social distancing. 
 

Q: Can I install the shutters, or does someone need to come and do it for me?


Our shutters are manufactured to make assembly and installation a breeze, even for novice DIY’ers. Some customers may hire a contractor to carry out the measuring/installation, however we currently advice against this. 

The only tools you need is an electric drill, screwdriver, measuring tape and a spirit level. Our shutter experts are on hand to answer any of your questions and guide you through the entire process, from beginning to end. If you prefer, we even have online video tutorials for anyone who gets stuck with measuring or installation.  

Go ahead and give it a go! You’ll be amazed at how easy it is, and the sense of achievement you will get from knowing you did it all by yourself!
