Tier-on-tier solid raised shutters give you complete window coverage from the top of your window pane to the bottom. With two independent sections of shutter panels, this allows great control over the amount of ligth that can enter your home by opening up the top, while keeping the bottom parts of the shutter closed for increased privacy.

As the window shutter panels are solid in this tier on tier style, they offer fantastic insulating properties blocking windows when closed to keep the house warm and snug. But when opened the whole window is exposed letting light shine through. This style combines the benefits of both solid shutters and tier on tier shutters, to provide complete control over your windows.

Our hardwood shutters are made from highly sustainable Paulownia timber, which has a fine and knot free grain.  At approximately 30% lighter than other hardwoods, it’s ideal for larger windows and doors.

These qualities make Paulownia the perfect hardwood for shutters.

What is the Standard delivery time?

The standard dispatch time for custom made, ready to fit shutters is about 9 to 10 weeks (unless otherwise specified) starting after phone confirmation of your order. When you see the quality, you’ll understand they’re worth the wait.

For Special Shapes the average dispatch time is 10 to 12 weeks.

We will email you the week they are ready to ship to let you know your shutters will be on their way.
 

What is the Express option?

Express delivery is available for all American-made products. For an extra cost, we will dispatch your shutters in under four weeks. Lead times vary depending on which type of shutters you choose.

We will dispatch both Vinyl Faux Wood and Premium Hardwood shutters within 3 to 4 weeks of the phone confirmation of your order.

What about cancellations or refunds?

Your indoor shutters are custom made to fit your particular windows, so once your order has been accepted, checked and confirmed by phone and by email, it can’t be cancelled. We’ll do everything we can to make sure you are absolutely happy before sending your Order Confirmation email and making your shutters.

    Choosing the right frame for your window

    Shutter frames are used to affix your shutters to your window area and they’re the perfect way to show off your shutters to full advantage. They're also useful for disguising uneven walls and windows that aren’t level, often found in older homes.

    Shutter frames come in two styles – inside mount, where the frame sits inside the window recess allowing you full use of your window sill, or outside mount, where the frame is mounted to the wall area, ideal if your windows aren’t recessed.

    Either way, your chosen shutter panels will be neatly mounted inside the shutter frames for a lovely professional finish.
