Teresa from Boise was considering different window coverings for her bathroom and plantation shutters provided the ideal solution. While blinds were considered as an option, given they have to cover the complete window to gain privacy, Teresa considered shutters a much better option as she could have privacy on the lower section of the window while keeping the top portion open. As Teresa told us,
“We were covering windows in our new bathroom and we wanted to see out and let sunshine in, yet have full privacy too. I felt shutters would be a good solution and did a Google search for some local companies and got quotes from them. However, they were really expensive and required them to install, which made it more expensive, so I did a Google search for online companies and read some of your reviews and knew we could install them easily ourselves.
I found the staff helpful and they gave me some good tips. The video instructions also helped and the installation was exactly as shown in the video.
I chose the color to match our window trim color, which was a Sherwin Williams color, and the slat size to match the existing shutters in our master bedroom. On the windows facing our next door neighbors we wanted privacy with the full window shutters, with separate top and bottom. The front windows we wanted café style shutters to match the bedroom.
We chose The Shutter Store shutters for the 6 windows of our new master bath renovation in our historic 92 year old home. The shutters finished off the renovation giving us beautiful window coverings along with the privacy we needed.
I would certainly recommend you to anyone looking for shutters!"
Teresa, the shutters look great. The bathroom is stunning and the shutters really work well to give privacy but allow plenty of light into that space. Thanks for kind words and we appreciate your spreading the word.
