It's Easy to Measure for Inside Mount Blinds

We recommend that the recess has a depth of 2” or more to install your blinds successfully.

A recess window is one which does NOT have the window flush with the interior wall. Click here to view a window which has a recess.

1. Use a steel tape. Cloth or plastic tapes may result in inaccurate sizes.
2. Ensure you look for crank handles or obstructions which could impede the operation of the blind. If in any doubt, email us a photo of your window.
3. To measure the WIDTH of the window, take measurements in two or three places. Measure bottom, middle and top. Windows can be out of square. To order correctly, order the SMALLEST WIDTH from the 3 sizes you take.
4. Measure the DROP applying the same principle. Take 3 dimensions – left, middle and right. Order using the LARGEST DROP. This will ensure your blinds cover the widow.
5. If ordering blinds for different windows, even if they LOOK the same, measure each one individually.

When ordering blinds on our site remember to select if the blinds were INSIDE MOUNT or OUTSIDE MOUNT.

If ordering as an INSIDE MOUNT  we will make a ¼” deduction from the width that you have ordered. Doing so will make sure that the blind raises up and down without scrapping the walls / inside of the recess.

Even if you have measured your window for inside mount blinds but prefer to make your own deductions, you can order as OUTSIDE MOUNT. By doing this, we will not make any deductions to your sizes.
