These shutters for doors are installed on very tall French Doors. You can see from the image that the panels do not go all the way up to the top of the door. The measurements of these shutter doors, installed over the French Door itself is 56" wide by a height of 80".

Elm is the wood used to make these door shutters. Elm has a very nice deep grain, which, when stained, look fantastic. The stain used on these shutters was Black Walnut. You can select from a wide range of stain colors if this one featured is not exactly to your liking.

To get the best view through the louvers on the shutters on this door, the customer opted for a 3 1/2" louver. This is one of 4 louver sizes that you can select for your custom made shutters when buying online from our store. As a rule, larger louvers are recommended for large doors like this, as they are more in proportion with the scale of the door.
