DIY plantation shutters are becoming increasingly popular as customers receive huge savings from doing the measuring and installation of plantation shutters themselves. Cutting out these costs allows you to have solid wood shutters at a great price.

Full height shutters with a mid rail are the ideal window covering as the louvers are seperated giving you independent control top and bottom. Therefore you can angle the slats at the bottom for privacy and have them fully open at the top to allow as much sunlight into the room as you want.

Our photo shows the full traditional push rod which is connected to the louvers. Or you can opt for the hidden pushrod which sits at the back of the panel connecting the slats and cannot be seen from the inside or outside.

There are 4 sizes of louver available, 1 7/8", 2 1/2" , 3 1/2" or the largest available 4 1/2". The main thing to remember when you are ordering your shutters is that the larger the louver size then the more light you allow into the room. Once you have ordered plantation shutters, delivery takes about 4 - 5 weeks after placing your order. All our shutters are packed using bubblewrap, plastic sheeting, foam and MDF boarding so that there is no damage in transit.
