Doors in kitchens can be difficult to dress. Few of us want to have heavy drapes or fabrics on our windows or sliding doors in a kitchen, where cooking smells can permeate and leave a nasty odor.

Bypass shutters for doors such as those shown are the ideal solution. These shutters shown on this door are made from poplar hardwood. The wood shutters that we make are made from wood which has been kiln dried to avoid cracking and warping. Even in areas such as a kitchen, where moisture may be prevalent, our wood shutters on kitchen windows will stand the test of time.

As you can see from this picture, the doors and windows are large. While your home may not have doors or windows of such a width we can offer different solutions to ensure your wooden shutters are installed perfectly. We offer designs where the sliding shutter configuration sees the panels 'bypass' each other (sliding one panel behind the other) or a bifolding shutter track system where the panels will concertina onto each other and away from the door.

If you want to avoid using track shutters our design experts can offer you solutions where the panels are hinged together in a traditional manner to fold off your sliding doors effortlessly.

The shutters here are painted in Bright White, UV protected paint, have 2 1/2" shutter blades (shutter blades are also known as louvers or slats). There is a regular shutter tilt rod on the front of these shutters to adjust the blades We will help you chose the perfect design for your wood shutters, whatever design preference you may have.
