Been to your local Home Improvement center or shutter retailer and they’ve told you that you can’t have shutters for your sliding doors? Most often, that’s because the shutters that they sell are lower quality and cannot be manufactured to wider dimensions, without losing the strength and integrity of the shutter panels.

The Shutter Store only makes 1 type of shutter – a premium quality shutter. Our shutters are made using time consuming and often expensive manufacturing techniques but this ensures the shutters will last a lifetime and not split at any point. As such you can order shutters that have wider panels within the design, such as those seen on these sliding doors.

You can order shutters to fold in a regular hinged configuration or on a track system. Track shutters can be ordered to slide behind each other (called a bypass track shutter system) or to fold onto each other (Concertina track shutters). Both track systems are a little more complicated to order than regular folding shutters, but The Shutter Store can help you through the process.

These shutters as shown have been made with 3 ½” slats and have a mid rail. A mid rail (also known as a divide rail) gives additional strength and rigidity to the shutter panels and is required on panels over 70” in height.
