Many New York homes have windows with interesting shapes. Loft apartments have typically been converted from factories or industrial buildings with arch windows. Shutters offer an ideal solution for Arch windows in New York apartments as they are custom made specifically to fit the shape of the arch and therefore don’t lose any of the beauty of the arch shape of the window.

This photo shows a window arched at the top, and had the option of having either a sunburst shutter (also known as an eyebrow shutter) or full height shutters which are curved at the top to fit the shape of the arch window.

These shutters as shown have a sunburst at the top. The sunburs part of the shutter is separate from the lower section of rectangular panels. This means the shutters on the lower section can be opened back, leaving the sunburst shutters in place, at the upper, arched part of the window.

This design works best if you are happy to have the upper portion of the window covered with the shutter panels. If you prefer to have the ability to fold back all of the panels from the window, they you could be better having us make full height, arch top shutter panels.
